Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Fragrance
Chanel launches a more delicate and softer tone of fragrance to the original, Chance, of 2003. The newer fragrance is called ‘Chance Eau Tendre (Chance Tender Eau)’. In terms of literature it means ‘Luck Tender Water’. The new fragrance is described as a combination of fruits and flowers, a floral and fruity side to the original. There is also an ‘Eau De Toilette’ and an ‘Extrait’ of the same.
Signed by the head perfumer Jacques Polge (in – house), the new Chanel fragrance makes a person feel young. A newer version to Chance was also launched in 2007 with the fresh scent of ‘Eau Fraiche’. The new name ‘Eau Tendre’ and the color pink is for the likes and appeals of younger women. More and more brands are now creating fragrances that would appeal to the new and younger generations.
The advertising for ‘Chance Eau Tendre’ is under Jean Paul Goude (a lead in the France’s visual world of fashion). The spokesperson for the fragrance is Sigrid Agren, a french model. The ad shows Sigrid wearing a garland of flowers (in a twist like the Marilyn – Monroe trope) along with the flacon of the fragrance, ‘Chance Eau Tendre’, only. The imagery, being a part of the Chanel ever since.
The fragrance is a perfect blend of a rose – jasmine floral base along with the sweet and enchanting fragrance of vanilla with cedar wood. The aim behind the creation of the new fragrance was mainly to feel young, familiar and comfortable. After inhaling the fragrance, one remembers the time when they used to go shopping with teenage friends. ‘Chance Eau Tendre’ is more on the musky side (casual feminine fragrance) and less feminine than ‘Chance Eau De parfum’. Because of the presence of dark sensuous fruits, assertive woods and the musk pungency, the fragrance is just like an innocent girl trying to be a bit naughty.
