Olga Kurylenko: Campari Calendar 2010

Olga-Kurylenko-Campari-january

Milano represents the red string and the décor for the imagined stories in Simone Nervi’s photographs. In every photo shoot, the subject is the Campari woman, interpreted by the seducing Olga Kurylenko, who reinvents herself through a new passion, and of course the Campari aperitif.

On the calendar months, Olga is transformed and once with her, so is the city. However, there is one constant: the passion of the twelve women interpreted by Olga.

Campari Milano, the 11th Campari calendar, presents us with the most captivating city ritual: the aperitif. This is portrayed through a framework which presents simple yet attractive, modern, and sophisticated places. Campari is at the core of each photograph and instills passion in them.

We are in the tram of the 609 era. Olga Kurylenko is the center of the action. The camera follows her. Little by little, Milan is showed to us and with Campari creates the perfect décor for each separate photo. Through a seduction game, by showing herself then hiding, winking then retreating, the Campari woman challenges us to follow her through Milan.

This is the beginning of the Milan Campari story.
The muse attracts men by daring and determining them to follow the Campari woman through the city’s streets, in her photo shoot studios, through apartments and elegant gardens, one of the most suited and symbolic place for aperitifs.

The fountain in the Pizza Cairoli, Sforza Castle, the famous milk bar in Vigevano, the bohemian center of Milan city and the train station are the red string of her voyage.

In 2010 Olga comes back on the big screens in Neil Marshall’s adventure movie Centurion, and as the main actress in Franco Israeli’s Kirot thriller. She can also be seen interpreting Ildiko’s role in Roland Joffe’s There Be Dragons movie, which is currently shooting in Argentina. Her future plans also include starring in one of Terrence Malick’s projects.

“It was truly a unique experience. I was excited and intrigued by Campari’s proposal: to interpret the Campari woman and convey the essence of Red Passion. For me, Red Passion is a lifestyle full of vitality and confidence, the expression of feelings and emotions. I live my life with passion and I am passionate of my work. I like to be permanently active. For these reasons I joined the Campari team, who, like me, is dynamic, passionate and cosmopolitan.”, said Olga Kurylenko.
